The stylish DYU E-Scooter weighs in at only 12kg

We have all been waiting for something like this for quite a while. And the engineers at DYU has answered our call.

Back in 2016, we announced the launch of the Stigo and the Stigo was admittedly abit on the heavy side at 15kg.

The e-scooter rider is a very weight-sensitive animal and because it is specifically targeted at the lady e-scooter rider, the DYU has shedded off the weight with a final weight of 12kg. Just light enough to be carried onto the train.

Truly Compact Form Factor

The DYU measures only 1m wide with a drop down handlebar to give a height of only 50cm in height. It fits comfortably into the trunk of any car and you will still have space for your groceries!

Did we also mention that its 12kg? So no sweat broken when lifting it in and out of said car. My granny could lift it.

Safety Features

Size matters. Especially when it comes to tire size for e-scooters. In the e-scooter world, every inch counts:)

And every inch ensures added grip and the 12 inches on the DYU is by far the largest e-scooter road tire that we have ever ridden. Most e-scooter tires top out at 11 inches. 12 inches is almost equivalent to a small e-bike tire.

Did we mention it has double disc brakes too? Front and rear, yes. We are actually not sure if you need that much braking power for a seated scooter that goes only to a max to 25kmh, but it sure does look nice! Maybe thats why they put it in there.

Loaded Functionalities

The DYU is bluetooth enabled to provide tons of app based functionality. The DYU app syncs to the e-scooter control system and is able to control the top speed, cruise mode, electronic locking amongst many other features.

The battery life is displayed both on the app and on the handlebar dashboard so you are constantly aware of when to head home.

On those long rides, hit the cruise mode button on the dashboard and take your hands off the throttle!
